Oh boy, here we are again. You’re an impressionable reader, guzzling down every word I write. I’m a somewhat psychotic writer, struggling to remember that I’m supposed to write reviews about shows after I finish them. And also struggling to not shit talk the most popular shows of a season just cause everyone else can’t stop sucking them off. Even though I can feel the pull and expectations of my die-hard fans, sometimes you just have to put your foot and say, “No, I didn’t watch Re:ZERO season 3. I didn’t like season 2 and I’m not giving it another chance”. Dandadan was pretty great though, no doubt about that.
I’m tempted to stop writing here cause I really doubt you’re on here reading reviews on a site like 5 people total have ever seen and don’t already know what the show is all about. It’s fast, it’s loose, it’s extremely dedicated to pushing testicle jokes as far as they can go. Somehow it also really nails emotional character struggles and development along the way? Like seriously, the remaining third of the show that isn’t dedicated to crass jokes and crazy action is made up of some shockingly good feels type stuff. Anyways you get the idea, it’s pretty much as good as everyone’s been saying it is and also comes with a dope af OP that was probably like half the reason I was excited to watch every week. I know you’re probably desperate for me to say more about this one, but the popular and good shows are just way too hard to write about. Just take it as a positive mark for the show. A no news is good news kinda thing.
Oh yeah, there was one thing that it earns a negative mark for this season. What the fuck was up with the ending? I can’t tell if it’s supposed to be continuing on after a short break or if that was supposed to be some kind of cliffhanger. It was actually so confusing that I sat around the next week wondering where the next episode was. While it is an incredibly stupid way to end a season, I’ll be willing to forgive it though if the next one comes out soon.
