Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

I watched the first three seasons Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. as a teenager with my parents, and I loved it. For whatever reason I decided to stop watching when I got to season 4, I remember at the time thinking the show was going down hill and I never really looked back until recently. Let me tell you, that was a mistake!

Genuinely, season 5 was a jam and 6 and 7 had some interesting ideas that I really appreciated. While I didn’t love season 4 in its entirety it was still really interesting and the last section dubbed Marvel’s Agents of Hydra was spectacular.

The framework showcasing what would’ve happened had Hydra won the fight was such a treat. They made some of my favorite characters, Fitz and May, even more interesting than they were. Segueing that section of the show into the future plot line and the twist that Daisy is the “Destroyer of Worlds” made for such an interesting plot line.

The whole show was far more entertaining than I remember when I was younger and I was delighted to find that even what I hadn’t watched back then was just as good as what I loved about the show the first time I saw it. The prevailing feeling I had when I had finished this re-watch was sadness, as I knew I’d never get the chance to experience this for the first time again.
